2017 40 Bags in 40 Days

Oh do I need this. My basement is out of control. My closet is out of control. 40 Bags in 40 Days is an awesome challenge where you can spring clean and de-clutter but not all at once. All at once can be daunting. A bag a day is totally manageable.

I am starting a little early (challenge starts March 1 and goes to April 15) and taking some things to the consignment store and to the donation box.

This time of year in New England always feels a little stagnant. Winter has been here for a bit and is starting to wear on everyone. Cleaning out and starting fresh chases out the winter blues for me.

Want some good news? The Daylight Savings spring forward day is March 12th. The first day of spring is March 20th. We are in the winter home stretch.

#Microblog Monday - Winters Indoor Sports

I picked it up yesterday and made a trip to the store for supplies to clean it up and restore it. My plan is to use black chaulk paint from the top down and do a natural Cherry top and get a piece of glass for the top. This beauty needs new hardware, which will be fun to select. It really is a nice, solid piece and the back is finished, meaning it could sit in the middle of a room and still look great.
I landed this gem for 40 bucks. It will take some man hours and materials to get it looking great but I think I'll have an awesome desk on my hands when it's done.

It's freezing here in New England so inside pursuits are the way to go. Yesterday was -5 degrees Fahrenheit with the wind chill. Today is a balmy 28 degrees Fahrenheit.
The cold water line to my washing machine froze overnight 2 nights ago, that's how cold it is!

#MicroBlogMonday - 40 Bags Challenge

For today's #MicroBlogMonday I'll tell you a bit about my next challenge. Some people climb mountains and others run marathons. Me? I'm going to get rid of 40 bags in 40 days. The challenge starts February 10th and runs until March 26th with Sundays off.

I've got a Facebook group going of ladies (and 1 brave guy!) who are doing this with me. The Wednesday start will be here before I know it! First order of business the 'drawer of shame' or as others may know it the junk drawer. I've got a poll going in the group to see what they plan on tackling first.
